The book “Wet Gift” is about a girl who eagerly awaits the arrival of her grandmother on her rainy birthday. The narrative moves seamlessly between the real world and the girl›s vivid imagination. To bring the story to life through illustration, a combination of real and surreal spaces is used, utilizing rectangular frames that occasionally extend beyond their boundaries with color and shape. The deliberate use of symbols and expressive facial expressions, combined with soft colors and watercolor techniques, enhanced the effectiveness of conveying the essence of the story.
The book was written by Farhad Hassanzadeh and published by Behnashr Publishing House in 2022.
